BUZME SHAH IQBAL
CHISTI SABIREE - DURBAN
The CHISTI
SABIREE silsila was brought to South Africa by Janab EBRAHIM
BHAI MADAREE SAHEB CHISTI SABIREE in 1943, and the BUZME
SHAH IQBAL CHISHTI SABIREE was established by him. It was in
this year that the first URS FUNCTION was held successfully, and
since then, these functions have been held every year, until the
present day. Our other activities include the following:

ceremony is held by our members
in memory of HAZRAT KHWAJA MUINUDDIN CHISTI
(radi Allahu anhu), a great
Sheikh of the Chishti order, who arrived in Ajmer (INDIA)
many centuries ago and laid a solid foundation of Islam in
that country. |

KHATME
KHWAJEGAAN ceremony is held
by our members to commemmorate the remembrance of Shaykh
Hazrat MAKHDOOM ALLAUDDIN ALI AHMED SABIR
(radi Allahu anhu), the 3rd successor of
Khwaja Muinuddin Chishti(RA) of Ajmer. Hazrat Sabir Paak
(radi Allahu anhu) is our leader (Shaykh)
in the spiritual Sufi Silsila of the Chishti Sabiree order
in Southern Africa. |

KHATME
KHWAJEGAAN ceremony is held
by our members to commemmorate the remembrance of
HAZRAT SYED MUHAMMAD JAHANGIR SHAH CHISTI Sabiree Kambal
Posh (radi Allahu anhu) who was a
great Saint of the Chisti Sabiree spiritual Sufi Order. On
the same date we include in the same KHATME
KHWAJEGAAN ceremony the remembrance of
Hazrat SAYED MUHAMMAD KHALID SHAH CHISHTI SABIREE
JAHANGIRI KAMBAL POSH (radi Allahu anhu)
who passed away in South Africa, and is presently buried
in Benoni, South Africa. |

MUHAMMAD IQBAL SHAH CHISHTI SABIREE JAHANGIRI KAMBAL POSH

the prominent Shaykhs of our Silsila. |

Every Sunday
|
a special
ZIKRULLAH FUNCTION (remembrance or Zikr of Allah) is held
after ASR SALAAH to glorify ALLAH, our Creator and
Sustainer, and at the conclusion of these 52 Sunday night
functions, SALAAT-O-SALAAM for love of
our Dear Beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad Mustafa(SAW)
is read standing up with all respect and affection that is
due to our Rasoolallah (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam).

Silsila. This function is held after MAGHRIB PRAYERS. |

a very special MEELAD-UN-NABI (Salallahu
Alaihi Wasallam ) function is held to commemmorate the Birth
of our Holy Prophet MUHAMMAD MUSTAFA (SAW)
with love, affection and enthusiasm, after which SALAAT-O-SALAAM
is read with love and zeal in honour of Rasoolallah (Salallahu
Alaihi Wasallam) |

13th |
a special memorial function is held
to commemmorate the remembrance of Shaykh MAKHDOOM
ALAUDDIN ALI AHMED SABIR KALYARI (radi Allahu
anhu). A similar function is held in His honour on
the 13th day of every Muslim month, as described earlier. |

a very special function is held to
remember the founder of our Buzme Shah Iqbal Chishti Sabiree
of South Africa, MUHAMMAD EBRAHIM BHAI MADARI SAHEB
(may Allah bless him). Immediately after the function the
SHAJRA SHAREEF of our Chishti Sabiree Silsila is read (See
link to "SHAJRA SHAREEF"), then FAATEHA is read, after which
NIAZ is distributed. |

a very special function is held for
SAYIDINA SHAYKH ABDUL QADIR AL-JILANI
(radi Allahu anhu) to commemorate the remembrance of
his Egyariwee Shareef Function and to honour him as the
greatest Wali in the world and through whom the QADIRIYA SUFI
SILSILA (ORDER) exists. At the same function the FATEHA is
recited for the late GOOLAM SABIR MADARI who was the son of
our founder Ebrahim Bhai Madari Saheb. |

KHATME KHWAJEGAAN
ceremony is held to commemorate the memory of HAZRAT
KHWAJA MUINUDDIN CHISTI HASAN SANJARI AJMERI (radi
Allahu anhu), the first Sufi Shaykh of our silsila
who settled in Ajmer, India, many centuries ago and today
hundreds of thousands of people of all nationalities visit the
SHRINE OF AJMER on the occasion of the ANNUAL URS. |

the sacred month of RAMADAAN. |

a very special niaz function is
held in honour and remembrance of Ameeril Mu'mineen
HAZRAT MAULA ALI IBN ABI TALIB (radi Allahu
anhu), the son-in-law of the Holy Prophet (SAW).
Hazrat ALI, as the world knows, was the greatest leader of the
AULIYA, through whom all the Sufi Silsilas of
Qadiriya, Chistiya, Suharwardiya, Shazalia and Senusia had
begun in the realm of Sufism. This function is held after the
Maghrib Prayer. |

URS SHAREEF |
|
The Urs of
Hazrat Makhdoom Ala'uddin Ali Ahmed Sabir Kalyari (Radi
Allahu Anhu) is celebrated annually in DURBAN over a period of
two days where the entire public is invited. This is one
of the biggest functions held by the Sabiree Silsila in South
Africa. Our programme includes: Khatme Khwajegaan,
Mehfil-e-Sama (Qawwali), Waiz by Ulema followed by
distribution of Sabiree Langar.
In addition to
the foregoing, we hold occasional SAMA mehfils, for the
benefit of the mureeds.

In 1955, we
produced an urdu publication entitled "JALALE SABIREE"
on the lives of Hazrat Baba Farid Ganje Shakar (Radi Allahu
Anhu), and Hazrat Makhdoon Sabir Paak (Radi Allahu Anhu),
which was well received by the urdu knowing muslims.
In 1980, we
carried out ALTERATION and did PAINTING at the
Roza Mubarak of Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Ganje Shakar (Radi
Allahu Anhu), at his shrine in Paak Patan, Pakistan.
In 1990, under
the guidance of our Murshid, Sajjada Nasheen Hazrat Sayed
Muhammad Shah Chisti Sabiree Jahangiri Kambalposh, we carried
out RENOVATIONS, ALTERATION and AMMENDMENTS to the
shrine of Hazrat Sabir Paak (Radi Allahu Anhu) at his
shrine in KALYAR, INDIA. It was also in this year that
our Pir-o-Murshid installed the Silver Qatera around
the blessed Qabr Shareef of Hazrat Makhdoom Sabir
Paak (Radi Allahu Anhu).

Khalifa-e-Rashid of Hazrat Sayed Muhammad Khalid Shah Chisti
Sabiree. In conjuction with the mureeds of the Sabiree
Silsila from Africa and Surat, with the permission of Hazrat
Shah Mansoor Ejaz Quddoosi Chisti Sabiree, Sajjada Nasheen -
Dargah Pirane Kalyar

This plaque
was installed on the Mazaar Shareef of Hazrat SABIR PAAK (Radi
Allahu Anhu) after Hazrat Sayed Muhammad Shah had carried out
